Building the Technology Behind the World's Most Demanding Visual Workflows
Since 2002, The Pixel Farm has developed the spatial intelligence and media restoration tools that professionals trust when precision is non-negotiable, from Oscar-winning feature films to forensic investigations, national archive restorations to architectural surveys.
What We Build
PFTrack, The Complete Spatial Intelligence Platform
Camera tracking. Photogrammetry. Scene reconstruction. LiDAR integration. One node-based application trusted by Oscar-winning VFX studios, forensic agencies, virtual production facilities, and visualisation professionals worldwide. From a single handheld shot to a thousand-shot episodic season, PFTrack delivers production-ready spatial data at any scale.
PFClean , The Gold Standard in Film & Video Restoration
The industry's fastest and most intelligent restoration suite. Automated defect removal, colour correction, stabilisation, and 4K/8K remastering for film and video, from 8mm home movies to IMAX 70mm negatives. Optimised for Apple Silicon, PFClean outperforms competing tools running on workstations costing ten times more. Trusted by national film archives, major studios, and broadcasters worldwide.
Where Our Technology Is Used
Developed in the world's most demanding visual effects pipelines, our platforms now serve professionals wherever spatial data and restored media matter most.
Visual Effects
PFTrack has been the spatial intelligence platform behind Oscar-winning feature films and high-end episodic television for over twenty years. Camera data for compositors. Scene geometry for environment and lighting artists. Lens models for the entire pipeline. Photogrammetry for set reconstruction and digital doubles.
Virtual Production
From environment capture for LED volume stages to ground-truth camera tracking verification in post-production, PFTrack delivers the spatial data that virtual production pipelines depend on. Seamless integration with Unreal Engine and USD workflows.
Forensic Science
Accurate 3D scene reconstruction from multi-camera video evidence. PFTrack supports crime scene analysis, traffic accident reconstruction, and court-admissible spatial measurement with auditable precision. Enterprise-grade deployment with fully air-gapped operation for sensitive casework.
Architecture & Construction
Precise photogrammetry and environment reconstruction from drone footage, ground-level photography, and LiDAR data. Automated, scriptable workflows for high-volume site documentation, digital twins, and scan-to-BIM integration.
Cultural Heritage & Archives
The only vendor offering both 3D spatial capture and film restoration under one roof. Digitise monuments, archaeological sites, and artefacts in 3D with PFTrack while restoring and preserving historical film and photographic archives with PFClean. Trusted by national archives across Europe.
Games Asset Development
Capture real-world environments and objects through photogrammetry and prepare game-ready assets with export to USD, glTF, FBX, and all major game engine formats. Node-based batch processing for large-scale asset pipelines.
How We Think About Technology
Every product decision we make is guided by three principles:
Precision first.
Our algorithms were forged in the most unforgiving environment in image processing, feature film visual effects, where a sub-pixel error in a camera solve means a failed shot and a missed deadline. That same precision applies whether the data is going into a Nuke composite, a courtroom presentation, or a Building Information Model.
Production-grade on accessible hardware.
We believe world-class results should not require six-figure hardware budgets. Both PFTrack and PFClean are developed as native Apple Silicon applications, and we optimise relentlessly for modern GPU architectures across macOS, Windows, and Linux. Our users should be able to invest in their work, not their infrastructure.
Open, scriptable, pipeline-ready.
Our tools are designed to fit into your workflow, not to replace it. Python APIs, CLI automation, macro scripting, and comprehensive export to industry-standard formats, Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Blender, Unreal Engine, USD, FBX, Alembic, DPX, OpenEXR, and more. We build platforms, not silos.
Looking Ahead
Changing landscape
The landscape of spatial data is changing rapidly. Machine learning is transforming how features are detected and matched. Neural scene reconstruction techniques, including Gaussian Splatting and neural radiance fields, are moving from research into production. Real-time engines are reshaping how captured environments are used on set and in post.
Investing in all areas
We are investing in all of these areas. Our ML-accelerated feature matching engine, introduced in 2024, already delivers more robust tracking on difficult footage. Our photogrammetry pipeline continues to improve in speed and quality. And our architecture is designed to embrace emerging spatial capture technologies as they mature into production-ready tools.
Highest standards
The Pixel Farm has always been at its best when the technology is hard and the standards are high. That has not changed. What has changed is the breadth of industries and professionals who need what we build. From the matchmove department to the forensic laboratory, from the film archive to the construction site, wherever real-world visual data needs to become something structured, precise, and useful, that is where The Pixel Farm belongs.
